Meet The Trainer

I’m Gavin your potential or current personal trainer, a family man married with two beautiful children. I used to struggle with weight issues and my largest recorded weight was 23st 12lbs. I was struggling with lots of health issues and took part in very little activity. My final straw was going for an MRI and being refused because I was too heavy for the machine and would need to be scanned in a special machine for bariatric patients. This shock led me to make drastic changes to my life, I underwent weight loss surgery, changed my diet and gradually got into exercise. Now I am a regular fitness participant attending the gym 5-6 times a week, as well as taking part in football 3 times a week. I decided I wanted to help others achieve their goals because I was able to change my life in a drastic way it made me aware that it’s never too late to change if you really want to. After getting into fitness, I then studied and completed my Level 3 Diploma in Gym Instructor and Personal Training. I am now currently studying Level 3 in Nutrition and also Level 4 in Strength and Conditioning. Most training I provide is carried out at Snap Fitness in Andover, however I can provide training outdoors and clients home gyms. I will also be offering an online only service where I will design clients their own training plans to follow and give advice on healthy eating based on the Eatwell guide. As a personal trainer I will not be able to give meal plans to follow as this would need to be done by a registered dietician.
